Educational Opportunities for Students with Disabilities
Autism
SEAS will ensure children with autism are provided the opportunity to receive appropriate social skills training, communication services, behavioral therapy, counseling services, and all other appropriate services to address each child’s unique needs.
Dyslexia and Specific Learning Disability
SEAS will ensure children with dyslexia are provided the opportunity to receive evidence based dyslexia therapy services and all other appropriate services to address each child’s unique needs.
Mental Health and Emotional Disturbance
SEAS will ensure children with mental health/emotional disturbance disabilities are provided the opportunity to receive appropriate counseling, positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), and all other appropriate services to address each child’s unique needs.
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD)
SEAS will ensure children with ADD/ADHD are provided the opportunity to receive appropriate accommodations, positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), and all other appropriate services to address each child’s unique needs.
Intellectual Disability
SEAS will ensure children with intellectual disabilities are provided the opportunity to receive appropriate communication services, assistive technology services, accommodations, modifications, and all other appropriate services to address each child’s unique needs.
Other Disabilities
SEAS will ensure children with all other IDEA protected disabilities are provided appropriate special education services to address each child’s unique needs.
